D’Errico leads on, off floor

An article by Bill Landis — “D’Errico leads on, off floor,” posted yesterday on thedailycollegianonline — profiles Alyssa D’Errico, starting Libero for the Penn State Women’s Volleyball team. D’Errico may not have a specific “volleyball” gene, but, as the article points out, the D’Errico family has a solid volleyball tradition: her father is a referee and was a coach, her older sister Brianna captained Ithaca College’s volleyball team, and her mother was a member of the United States National Team in 1977.

Not surprisingly, D’Errico (called “nummy” by family and friends — you’ll have to read the article to find out why), is a vocal team leader and role model, both on and off the court. Click Here for the complete article.
